Player Registration Options

2024 Fall Softball Events

This Fall Alpine would like to hold a series (3-4) clinics for our softball players. The clinics will focus on the fundamentals of the game and will be appropriate for players between the ages of 6 to 12. Also, if the registration numbers support it, we might be able to set-up some Alpine-specific clinics with the Menlo-Atherton High School coaching staff.  Registration is FREE and no obligation. It will be used to give us a better sense for how many players we have interested so we can plan accordingly.

2024 Fall Baseball

Alpine Little League Baseball registration is now open!

Welcome to 2024 Fall Ball! We are excited to bring our programs to our community this Fall. For baseball in the Fall, we offer Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Player Pitch and Juniors. As you register, you will find descriptions of these various divisions of play and recommended age ranges. The age ranges described are based on Spring 2025 "League Ages" so we advise using this Little League Age Chart but modifying it by adding one year to the age. (As soon as the 2025 Age Chart is released we will update). Please register your child where you think they fit best and we will work with you to get him/her placed on a team in the appropriate division. 

The appropriate level of play for a child is not based entirely on the player's age. In the descriptions we provide guidelines for the skill levels and ages of children who may play at each of the levels. We will hold Player Evaluations in late August to help make sure kids are in the correct divisions and balance the teams. All of Alpine Little League's age guidelines are consistent with those suggested by Little League International.

Coach Pitch
Coach Pitch during the Fall season is generally for players that would play Tee Ball or Coach Pitch in the Spring 2025 season. As you may have guessed, the coach pitches to the players. The Fall season for Coach Pitch is for Little League Ages 5, 6 and 7. (Ages are based on 2025. Until the Age Chart is updated for 2025, the 2024 chart will show League Ages as 4, 5 and 6.)

All games are on Sunday. There are no additional practices for Coach Pitch.

Machine Pitch
Machine Pitch during the Fall season is generally for players that would play Machine Pitch or Minors in the Spring 2025 season. A pitching machine is used as opposed to coaches or players pitching. The pitching machine helps to speed up the play of the game. This provides the kids more at bats, more plays on defense and more chances to improve their skills. If your child played Minors in the Spring 2024 but is not ready for Spring PCL, this is the right division for them. Just because we are using a pitching machine does not mean it is a step backwards. If your child played Machine Pitch this past Spring this is also the right division for them.

The Fall season for Minors is for Little League Ages 7-9. (Ages are based on 2025. Until the Age Chart is updated for 2025, the 2024 chart will show League Ages as 6-8.). Further, we hope to supplement the practices with clinics for pitching and catching specifically for those players hoping to play Minors or PCL baseball in Spring 2025.

All games are on Sunday. There is an additional practice during the week. The practice day will vary by team.

Player Pitch
Player Pitch during the Fall season is generally for players that intend to try out for PCL or Majors in the Spring 2025 season. It is an especially good opportunity for Minors/PCL players who have never played Majors to gain experience before the Spring 2024 season. The Fall season for Player Pitch is for Little League Ages 10-12. (Ages are based on 2025. Until the Age Chart is updated for 2025, the 2024 chart will show League Ages as 9 - 11.)

All games are on Sunday. There is an additional practice during the week. Practice days will vary by team.

Juniors
The Juniors program is the next step after Player Pitch for Little League Ages 13 & 14. (Ages are based on 2025. Until the Age Chart is updated for 2025, the 2024 chart will show League Ages as 12 and 13.)

Umpire Registration

Alpine Little League has the largest youth umpire program in District 52 and we want you to be a part of it.  Being an umpire is a great way to expand a player's knowledge of the game, build confidence, provide leadership opportunities and earn some money!  We pay competitive rates and provide all the training.  We view our Umpiring Program as another Division of our league and have high expectations for everyone in our community to treat our umpires with respect and encouragement just as they would a young athlete learning how to play the game.

Check out our Umpire Resources page for more information about the program.  Umpires must be 11 years old by January 1, 2023 to register.
