Alpine Community,

Today, we are reaching out with a call to help some members of our greater Little League Community.  The devastating fires in Maui have severely impacted our friends at West Maui Little League.  One of our very own Alpine Little Leaguers – Nolan Levinson – brought this to our attention:

Hello. I am Nolan Levinson and I play in Alpine Little League. Last year I played on PVG and last fall I was on Cardinal. This year I was also on PVG and played for the Alpine 10U all-stars.  During covid, I lived in Maui for a year and when I was there I played in the West Maui Little League minors.  If you know me, you may know that I love pitching. West Maui Little League is where I first learned how to pitch, and I got to play on some of the most awesome baseball fields (some of them have views of the ocean).

As we all know, West Maui suffered a devastating fire and now 2 of those fields are damaged and are in the disaster zone so cannot be used. A lot of kids (tee ball all the way to majors) who want to play ball have lost their homes and most importantly, their baseball equipment. A lot of parents cannot afford to pay for baseball registration and new equipment so we are looking for some donations to support them. 

Join us in raising funds to make sure the ball players of West Maui Little League can have a Spring season.  Sometimes a little normalcy can be incredibly healing. Alpine LL has set up a West Maui Little League Donation page with 100% of proceeds going directly to WMLL.

·      A $100 donation covers registration fees for one player for the season.

·      Extra funds will be used to repair fields and replace destroyed baseball equipment

 To get us started, our Board agreed Alpine will cover the cost of one team plus some equipment - $1500.  Let's see if we can support all the kids of WMLL and reach our $25,000 goal.  Donations accepted until Nov 1st.  Donate now!
